Family Programs

Join us on the weekends

for fun and educational environmental programming

for you and your child!

This winter we are offering the following classes:

Nature, Art, and Me (ages 3-6) at 9am at The Children’s Museum site in Glen Echo Park

If your child loves to draw, paint, or color, then this class is a must!  In Nature, Art, and Me children use natural or recycled materials to make unique works of art to take home.  Each class includes exploration of where those natural materials come from, as well as a creative game in our garden.  Let your child's imaginative spirit soar as they play with clay, turn bottle caps into fish and jelly jars into snow globes.  All materials included.

Fun in the Forest (ages 4-6) at 10am at The Children’s Museum site in Glen Echo Park

In this interactive class, children are introduced to letters and simple numbers to improve their literacy skills.  As they hop, skip and jump through our indoor forest and outdoor garden, they will identify letters, learn new vocabulary words, and practice manipulating new sounds. They’ll be having so much fun exploring the world around them through touch and sound that they won't even realize they're learning!  Each class concludes with a fun and cozy story time. To keep the enthusiasm of the theme going after you return home, parents are supplied with a suggested reading guide for the week!
