In 2008, Living Classrooms Foundation formed a partnership with another nonprofit organization serving the DC metro area, City Kids Wilderness Project. 

City Kids offers extraordinary outdoor adventure experiences for little or no cost to eligible children living in the greater Washington, DC area. City Kids programs take place primarily in the Maryland countryside and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Participants leave the familiar urban environment and discover the outdoors, often for the first time. By learning new skills, meeting new friends, and developing greater self-confidence, our students are better able to succeed in building happy, healthy, and productive lives.
