Since the Foundation's inception, volunteers have been an important and integral part of our success in motivating young people with positive learning experiences. Volunteers of all ages and from many different backgrounds have assisted in all facets of our organization. Living Classrooms Foundation thrives because of resourceful and creative people. ANIMAL CARE (year round):

The animal care volunteer will be responsible for animal care at our Glen Echo Stables site in Maryland, or the Historic School House site in Washington, D.C. We have many exhibit animals that require specialized care each day. We are looking for highly responsible, independent, and proactive volunteers to fill this position.

WEEKEND PROGAMMING (year round):
The Living Classrooms site at Glen Echo Park is open most weekends throughout the year and seeks energetic, reliable, and outgoing volunteers to assist with weekend educational programming. Weekend volunteers welcome and direct families coming to our educational site, work on art projects with children, help out on hikes, assist with setup and cleanup of the site and, much more!
